Fresh Cut Flowers

Our Perfect Partner Promotion is on this month and I just had to get the Fresh Cut Stems dies (160251) to match the Fresh Cut Flowers Stamp Set AC 159018)

So Ive had a play with these to make little thank you gifts. These hold a little card and chocolate easily. I used the new In Color DSP (AC 159254) for these as well as In Color Matte Decorative Dots (AC 159186) Amazing Thanks Dies (AC 157186) and White Glittered Organdy Ribbon (AC 156408)

Here’s how I did it!

Start with a 6 inch piece of DSP and cut in half as shown. Add tape to the inner edges and fold in.

Easy peasy!!

I stamped and diecut the flower and just sponged over with Sweet Sorbet ink
I used two sheets of DSP for this one and diecut one out with the flower and glued it to the other DSP
I used the edge die to cut the edges. The flower has two layers and I sponged the inserts and put back in.
All of these are 10% off!

July Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop

Yay this month, it is my turn to choose the theme so I went for Favourite Colour!

Heres what I came up with using my favourite colour ..RED!

This LO is of our Daughter at the age of two helping in the garden. This photo was slightly warped as we recovered it from a serious flood in 2004 that went through our house. I had put some of these photos in a box thinking Id scan them and reprint them but I decided this one was fine to add to a LO. It was only because of our recent move that I found this treasured box of photos!

So what did I use on this LO?

First of all I love to fussy cut so I fussy cut some flowers out of the Perfectly Pencilled 12×12 DSP (AC 159244. I coloured some of these in with my new favourite red…..Sweet Sorbet (Stampin Write Marker AC 159219 also used Parakeet Party for the leaves). I used Painted Labels Dies (AC 151605) and Love You More Than Dies (AC 152698). The ‘smile’, label and 2 comes from The Today is the Day Memories and More card pack (AC 159249). I also used 2022-2024 In Color pack (AC 159253), 2022-2024 In Color Matte dots (AC 159186) and Pearlized Enamel Effects Basics (July-December Mini 156310) for some dots on the flowers.

So off we go on our July Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop off to Sherry Roths page to see what her favourite colour is!

Hippest Hippos

When I first saw this Sale a bration stamp set I immediately wanted to get it along with the matching dies…

This is why…

Yes …… I immediately saw cows instead of Hippos!

So how did I alter these hippos to become Cows?

I used these matching dies. The little flower is used to make the cow teats.

I also used the 2022-2024 In Color 6×6 DSP, 2022-2022 In Color Matte Decorative dots, Sweet Sorbet Blends, Parakeet Party Blends, Petal Pink Blends and Mango Melody Blends. I hand drew the Friesian markings and coloured in the hooves with the Dark Basic Black BlendThe Sentiment (just a little hi from me) is from the Special Moments stamp set (also available in Sale a Bration 1st July-31st August).

I blended the sky background in Pool Party Ink using a blending brush.

My New Craft Room!

As I said in my last post, I have been AWOL as I have moved farms recently.

I had to pack up my craft room so havent created for some time!

With the help of my Sister, we unpacked my craft room over a couple of days and I discovered that I dont need any cardstock, tombow or pens!

But of course I need the new stuff coming out …right? That is on its way to me so hopefully I get that next week!

So here is my very tidy craft room …well that wont last either when I start creating again!

My crafting desk. I have more storage underneath the tables.

Neutral CS and die/EF and punch storage area. 6×6 DSP storage and cards Ive made storage.
The clear boxes on the floor is my non SU stash!

I still have to even these up.

My Sister organised this for me. I love my storage as it made it easy to put in/pull out of a box.

I think Im sorted for water colouring and journalling!

Still sorting my scrapbooking albums out.

Cant wait to get in there and do more creating and sharing my creations again with you all!

June Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop

This month our Scrapbooking Global Theme has been chosen by Julia Quin.

Her theme is …

Heres what I came up with….

I havent scrapbooked for months as my craft room has all been packed up to move so tried to have fun with a little hand drawn numbers. I used a white water colour pencil and and a retired chalk ink pen.

The number stamp set I used is retired too (Labeler Alphabet) but I’m still awaiting my preorder from the New 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue as mine went missing!

I also used the Count on Me stamp set (155647) for the little kiwi.

I have had a blast unpacking my scraproom this past couple of weeks and came across a whole box of Layouts that hadnt been put in albums yet…..and found this Layout which Id forgotten Id done …which inspired this Layout!

It sure made me laugh as my scraproom is always messy but not at the moment!

Ive now put them all in albums. Unpacked everything and about to get my crafting on! Cant wait to create!

So thanks for hopping along with us today!

And off we go to the lovely Courtenay Heustons

blog!

Scrabooking Global January Blog Hop

Welcome to our January blog hop! This month our theme has been picked by Sherry Roth and her theme is…….

Super excited to see what everyone comes up with!
Heres my LO.

For this Layout I decided to concentrate on The Slim Line Card Dies (157965) as my decorative border. These dies are in the new January to June Mini Catalogue. I havent put the photos of a very dear friend of my family on here yet. She passed away recently so this Layout is a rememberance Layout of her.

I used a free Saleabration bundle (with a $220 NZD purchase) for this Layout. Its called Friendly Hello Stamp set and DSP. I fussy cut the flowers and bird out. A bit of computer journalling and its done. Ive kept it simple this time. Im having trouble with lighting today so will try to update it later.

Off we go on the next blog hop ..off to see what Julia Quinn has come up with!

November Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop

Our theme this month is chosen by Courtenay and her theme is scraplift.

So what is a scraplift? Its a Case or copy of a scrapbooking Layout.

I do not do this very often but was inspired by Marine Wiplier with this gorgeous Layout below.

I was inspired by her use of a punch with using patterned Designer Series Paper!

So heres what I came up with using the Label Me Lovely Punch (151296), the Penned Flowers Dies (155557) and the Hand Penned Designer Series Paper (155499)

Of course mine is a 12×12 Layout as I dont do A4 layouts. Heres a couple of close ups of my Layout.

I also fussy cut out some of the flowers from the paper. I also used White Bakers Twine (155475), Matte Black Dots (154284), Lovely Labels Pick A Punch (152883) and the stamp set I used was Forever Blossoms (151457). I used a retired circle punch as well.

Mai Chapelain is up next you can see her Layout here.

Of course I had to have a little fun with the journalling on this LO didnt I?
